Our syndicate horse Mokhald spent his afternoon filming a Horse Racing Ireland advertMokhalad thoroughly enjoyed his day as a film star. Mokhalad is naturally curious by nature as well as very clever so he took to the camera crew very well. I am pleased to report Mokhalad is in tremendous form and did a good piece of work this week. Mokhalad will head for Leopardstown on the 13th of May and we are excited to run him at Ireland's premier racetrack.

Wednesday, we start at Dundalk were our very own Damian English got Dance Alone back on track with a tremendous performance. Dance Alone had been working with Mokhalad recently so we have seen a bit of him. This was a great training performance from Damian as he restored the confidence of Dance Alone superbly, after a lengthy lay-off through injury. Damian English also had Wild Shot placed on the night. I was impressed with Bond Street for Aidan O'Brien who took the Fillies maiden. At Ascot, there was a double for William Buick on board Dathanna and Century Dream. There was a successful raid on the UK for Jessica Harrington with Torcedor. At Wolverhampton, there was a double for Oisin Murphy on board Leader's Legacy and Desert Diamond. At Newcastle, there was a double for Andrea Atzeni on board Spanish City and Sarshampla. At Cork, Paul Nolan had a winner with Rooster Byron.

Saturday, we start at Newmarket. It was 2,000 Guineas day. It was a remarkable day for Charlie Appleby, William Buick and Godolphin they enjoyed a four-timer. The horses were Symbolization, Key Victory, Tribal Quest and Oasis Charm. The Jockey club trophy went to Defoe in good style. The feature race was another triumph for Coolmore as Saxon Warrior was a brilliant winner of the 2,000 Guineas. Saxon Warrior tracked the pace through beautifully showing a good turn of foot despite wandering around a little. Saxon Warrior must go to Epsom with a huge chance. A really well-built horse, Saxon Warrior could be top class. Saxon Warrior advised to our members' 1pt each way at 7/2. At Wexford, there was a treble for Bryan Copper on board Flamingos Court, Monotype, and Castafiore Park. The card also featured a treble for Paul Nolan Monotype, Chisholm Trail and Castafiore Park. At Cork, there was a treble for Dermot Weld with Jewel Maker, Bandua, and Aztec Eagle.

At Goodwood, there were dreadful scenes off the track as a large fight marred the card. The BHA have to get this under control. I witnessed similar scenes myself at Aintree in 2017. The use of illegal drugs has a massive part of this with Cocaine fuelled young men full of drink leading to frightening scenes. It is only a matter of time when somebody will be killed, possibly even an innocent bystander who is not directly involved. On the track, there was a treble for Ralph Beckett with Victory Chime, Taurean Star, and Isabel De Urbina. At Uttoxeter, there was a four-timer for Dan and Harry Skelton with Black Sam Bella, Not That Fuisse, Zebi Boy, and MrsRobin. At Wetherby, Richard Hannon was on target with Pepita. At Newmarket, it was 1,000 Guineas day. The feature race saw a shock result as Billesdon Brook took the 1,000 Guineas at 66/1 for Richard Hannon. I was impressed with Wuheida and Lah Ti Dar who were good winners on the card. At Hamilton, Savalas took the feature race for Kevin Ryan. At Towcester, there was a treble for Nicky Henderson, with French Crusader, Ballinure and Doux Pretender.

Today was to be the debut of syndicate horse number 2 Alfirak in the Black and Green silks. Unfortunately, Alfirak has picked up a stone bruise which means he will not run today. I went to see Alfirak yesterday evening I can assure everyone he is fine. It is not serious and Alfirak will miss seven days work, it is just a knock. Alfirak will be kept ticking over in the swimming pool to maintain his fitness. Alfirak should be ready to run in a few weeks. Even though Alfirak was joint-fav for today's race. This was not a difficult decision. Alfirak has lots of potentials and is too good of a prospect to risk. The number one priority of the Galaxy Horse Racing Syndicate is the welfare and safety of the horses and jockeys who represent us.
