The Racing Week That Was 6/10/19


Monday, we start at Roscommon. Djingle claimed his second successive victory over fences with a fine front-running display in the Ballymore Irish EBF Novice Chase. This looks a very talented horse, if he can become a graded horse remains to be seen. It was good news for our members Djingle was advised to our members (3pts win) at 7/4. Russian Bill got his head in front for Noel Meade I think this horse could win a long-distance chase on heavy ground in the depths of winter. At Hamilton, the feature race went to Richard Fahey with National League. At Bath, Gleeds Girl was on target for Mick Channon. At Wolverhampton, there were doubles for David Evans and Ben Curtis with Lets Go Lucky and Isobar Wind.


Tuesday , we start at CorkBilly Lee stole the show at Cork with a 411/1 treble on We’ll Go Again in the Follow Us On Twitter Handicap. Whilst he was patient on Up Helly Aa (Willie McCreery) and Dance Jupiter (John Kiely), Lee showed his versatility on Madeleine Tylicki’s We’ll Go Again. He made use of his low draw in stall five on the 9/1 winner, bouncing out smartly and taking a positive approach on board the Fast Company gelding. At Ayr, the feature race went to Get Knotted. At Sedgefield, there was a double for Lucinda Rissell with Chanceiton and Order Of The Thistle. At Southwell, over the jumps, Manofthemountain took the feature race for Emma Lavelle. At Kempton, Rosa was an impressive winner under Hollie Doyle.


Wednesday, we start at Kempton. The feature race went to Kuwait Currency for Richard Hannon. It was good news for our members, Kuwait Currency was advised to our members (1pt each way) 4/1. At Bangor, Legends Gold was an impressive winner for Rebecca Curtis. At Huntingdon, Nordano was on target for Byrony Frost. At Nottingham, there was a double for Michael Appleby with Fantasy Keeper and Deinonychus. At Newcastle, there was a double for John Gosden with Tsar and New Angel.


Thursday, we start at Warwick. There was an impressive win on chasing debut for Nube Negra. This was one that got away from me. I think this horse can have a really good season. At Clonmel, Raya Time was an impressive winner for Henry DeBromhead. At Lingfield, Road To Paris was a very good winner for Sir Mark Prescott. At Wolverhampton, Assimilation took the feature race for Ed Walker. At Chelmsford, there was a double for John Gosden with Baptism and Alrajaa.


Friday, we start at Gowran Park. There was a treble for Gordon Elliott on the day with Abacadabras, Tiger Twenty Two and Bigbadandbeautiful. At Dundalk, there was a double for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane with Brunelle and Leadership Race. At Ascot, Hereby took the feature race for Ralph Beckett. At Hexham, there was very heavy rain which made for very testing ground. Taxmeifyoucan was a very fortunate winner of the feature race as Old-Salt crashed out at the last. At Fontwell, Tommy Rapper got off the mark over fences for Dan Skelton. At Southwell, there was a double for Richard Hughes with Bermuda Schwartz and Tafish.


Saturday, we start at Gowran. There were two good prizes up for grabs. the handicap hurdle went to Eight and Bob for Paul Townend and Willie Mullins. The PWC chase went to Snow Falcon for Noel Meade. Us And Them advised to our members (1pt each way) at 9/1 placed in the race. At Newmarket, the Sun Chariot went to Billesdon Brook who created another Group One shock. Veracious advised to our members (1pt each way) at 10/1 placed in the race. At Ascot, Kynren landed a massive punt (8/1-11/4) fo David Barron. Casanova advised to our members (1pt each way) 8/1 (5 places) placed in the race. It completed a fine day for our members who had an each-way Trixie Casanova 310 Ascot 8/1 (5 places) placed Veracious 325 Newmarket  10/1 placed Us And Them 425 Gowran  9/1 placed.

At Fontwell, Chapmashype took the feature race for Jamie Snowden. Frankie Dettori secured a new personal best tally of Group One winners in a season, even before Enable’s date with destiny in Sunday’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, as Anapurna gained a determined success in the Prix de Royallieu at ParisLongchamp.


Sunday, we start at Longchamp. Enable had to make do with the runner-up spot in her bid for history and a third victory in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe as Waldgeist provided Andre Fabre with a record eighth success. Enable gave it her all if that was to be her last race what a career she has had. John Gosden has handled her expertly. Victor Ludorum maintained his unbeaten record with an impressive display in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere. Villa Marina was a surprise winner of the Prix de l’Opera. Albigna bounced back to winning ways with an ultimately clear-cut success in the Prix Marcel Boussac. Glass Slippers took The Prix de l'Abbaye. 

At Tipperary, there was a very decent card as always. The Horse And Jockey Hurdle went to Davids Charm for John J Walsh. The Like A Butterfly Novice chase went to a mare fittingly as Robin De Carlow. At Kelso, there was a double for Dr. Ricard Newland with McGroarty and Mr. Muldoon. McGroarty was advised to our members (1pt each way) at 11/2. At Uttoxeter, there was a very decent beginner chase it went to Erick Le Rogue who held off Not That Fuisse. It could pay to follow these two horses through the winter.
