Psychedelic Funk won the finale in good style. It looks like the step up to a mile will suit Psychedelic Funk and he could go on to good things from here.

Enable was on Wednesday given the green light to run in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on Saturday but John Gosden, trainer of the dual Oaks winner, says his perceived second string Jack Hobbs should not be underestimated.Jack Hobbs trailed home a disappointing eighth behind Highland Reel in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot last month but Gosden says there were mitigating circumstances and believes the dice is loaded more in the five-year-old’s favour this time. The trainer said at a media event hosted by QIPCO and Ascot on Tuesday: "I think the 34 centigrade heat and the lightning fast track at Royal Ascot did not suit him so he is back to probably his best distance and he's back to some give in the ground, so that should play to his strengths.

Thursday, there is only one place to start at Yarmouth. Trainer Charlie McBride is hoping the British Horseracing Authority shows leniency after he became caught up in an embarrassing case of mistaken identity with one of his horses at Yarmouth on Thursday.McBride thought he had saddled 50-1 shot Mandarin Princess to win the opening two-year-old race at the Norfolk circuit, but it was stablemate Millie's Kiss who passed the post in first place.Millie's Kiss is a year older than Mandarin Princess and was due to run later on the same card in a race from which she was withdrawn by the Yarmouth stewards.McBride accepted full responsibility for the Yarmouth fiasco and is expecting to be fined by the BHA.However, the Newmarket handler told Press Association Sport: "I have been in racing all of my life so I'd be disappointed if I was banned for one mistake."It was a complete accident. There was no collusion and no ulterior motive."There is obviously no excuse for not recognising it was the wrong horse. I know them both inside out and have ridden both horses."I expect I will get fined, but it was a human error - as simple as that. The mistake was discovered after the huge outsider, ridden by John Egan, overturned the 4-6 favourite Fyre Cay in the six-furlong novice auction stakes for juveniles.

The rest of the Yarmouth card struggled to live up to the dramatic opening. There was a double for David Probert on board Thafeera and Defining Moment. At Worcester , there was a double for the combination of Dr Richard Newland and Sm Twiston- Davies with Mr Caffrey and Lovato. I thought Captain Morley ran alright in behind Lovato and is a horse to watch. At Sandown, there was a hat trick of doubles as Jim Crowley had a double on board with May Girl and Tajannus. The second person to get a double on the card was trainer Eve Johnson Houghton with Silver Ghost and Pndering. The third person to enjoy a double at Sandown was Adam Kirby on board Joshua Reynolds and Finale. At Newbury, there was a treble for Richard Hannon with Tathmeen , That's My Girl and Jule In The Crown. The victories going to Miss Saphire at 4/11 and The Wests Awake for Edward O'Grady 2/5 this horse is owned by the Magniers. There was a winner for Liam Cusack with the well backed Snugsborough Benny. At Leopardstown, all eyes were on The Pentagon who duly obliged in the group 3 Tyros stakes .  The Pentagon cleared away well in the end to win by one and three parts of a length and will have learned plenty from this.  The Pentagon is now the market leader for next seasons Derby. It was yet another remarkable night for Aidan O'Brien. The master Of Ballydoyle who had a four timer on the card including  The Pentagon , Happily, Delano Roosevelt and Belgravia.

Friday, we start at Thirsk. There was a double for trainer Tim Easterby with Silver Starlight and Cosmic Sky. At Ascot, the one mile seven furlong handicap went in really impressive fashion to Uae King .This son of Frankel looks on the upgrade like many of the offspring's of Frankel they are showing an ability to stay longer trips. At Down Royal, the feature race was Her Majesty's Plate a listed race worth €50K . The race went to Pat Shanahan's, The Tartan Spartan who won the race in good style. I was impressed with Grandee in third who's turn could be coming.

Saturday, we start at Ascot. Where Enable entered the history books at Ascot on Saturday with a stunning victory in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. This was a performance that will go down in the history of flat racing. Enable pulverized a top class field with her brilliance. Enable came home four an half lengths clear of Ulysses, a further half length back to Idaho . A further four lengths back to Highland Reel with another two and three parts lengths back to Benbatl. The result saw Enable leave the last time out winners of the Coral Eclipse,Hardwicke, Prince Of Wales and Hampton Court trailing in her week. Enable despite the weight for age and sex allowance is clearly top class. I am sure John Gosden and Frankie Dettori will be thinking of of glory in the Arc

The rest of Ascot served up some decent fair. Nyaleti bolted up in the Group 3 fillies juvenile race.  Nyaleti  won by five lengths from Dance Diva. I am certain Nyaleti will be campaigned aggressively from here on. Stamp Hill left Ascot punters stunned as the 50-1 outsider won the highly-competitive Gigaset International Heritage Handicap. A complete Skinner for the punters. It was part of a great day for Richard Fahey. At Chester, Richard Fahey added two more winners to the total for the day as he had a double with Miss Puddles and Dan Troop. I was really impressed with Dan Troop. There was also a double at Chester for trainer John Best with Berrahri and Glenys The Menace. The five furlong went to the old man of the party Confessional who saw off Blithe Spirit by three parts of a length. Blithe Spirit was advised to our members 1pt each way at 9/2. At Newcastle ,Olly Murphy was on the mark again with Banff. At York, the great week for Tim Easterby continued as he had another double with Flying Pursuit who took the Sky Bet dash. The double was completed by Appointed who took the one mile two furlong handicap. The feature race the York stakes went to Success Days for Ken Condon and Shane Foley. Success Days battled on well to beat Mondialiste by a nose.

At Newmarket, Richard Fahey picked his fourth winner of the day. The Feathered Nest picked up the feature race of the day , the six furlong handicap. At the Curragh, Aidan and Donnacha O'Brien won the first three races giving them a treble. The horses were Ballet Shoes, Fleet Review and Pavlenko. The great day of Ken Condon continued as Ice Cold N Alex got up to deny Enter The Red. The Amateur Derby went to Joseph O'Brien with Apparition under a very efficient Derek O'Connor ride. Our members had hard luck at the Curragh despite winning. Magic Bear (NR) & Enter The Red(6/1) 405 Curragh Political Policy (10/1) 435Curragh (10/1) advised to members 0.75pt combination each way doubles  placed. At Salisbury, Paul and Megan Nicholls combined to win with Moabit. At Lingfield, there was an incredible night for Hector Crouch who rode a four timer with Harmoza Vaquera, Sussex Ranger, Hiorne Tower and Artic Flower. There was a double for Silvestre De Sousa on the card with Working Class and Salt Whistle Bay.

Sunday, we start at Pontefract. Tim Easterby continued his excellent run with another double at Pontefract. The horses were Regal Mirage and Bossipop. The feature race went to Richard Fahey another trainer who had a superb weekend . Another Touch got the better of Custom Cut in the Pomfret stakes by a neck. The One Mile Two Furlong handicap went the way of Beverley Bullet who held off Coreggio and Minningrocks. The result was a decent one for our members. Minningrocks (7/1) & Beverley Bullet(15/2) 300 Pontefract. Braavos (5/1) 345 Uttoxeter were advised to members 0.5pt combination each way doubles placed.

At Uttoxeter, it was a great day for Dan and Harry Skelton who had a treble . The winners were Listen To The Man, Work In Progress and Shrubland. The victory of Shrubland was frustrating for our members as he ran down my selection Beau Bay late on. There was a double for Peter and Sean Bowen on the card with Kinari and Wadswick Court. It was again a case of touched off for our members. Wadswick Court 445 Uttoxeter (9/2)) & Beau Bay 515 Uttoxeter (9/2) advised to our members 1pt each way double both placed.
