Monday, we start at Ayr. There was a double for Graham Lee on the day with Affina and Alfie's Angel. There was also a double for Joe Fanning with Chinese Spirit and Sepal. There was a winner for Irish trainer Garvan Donnelly as Harry Speed took the seven furlong handicap from Jack Blane in good style. Jack Blane advised to our members 1pt each way at 4/1. At Ripon, Silvestre De Sousa continued his relentless march to the jockeys title as he won on board Dorcas. At Wolverhampton , there were winners for Sir Michael Stoute and Sir Mark Prescott with Flourishing and Anna Medici. At Windsor, Sir Mark Prescott made it a personal double on the day as Codicil took the nursery. At Ballinrobe, there was a double for Willie Mullins with Fabulous Saga who was electric in the maiden hurdle won by 20 lengths. The Mullins double was completed by Diamond Hill in the bumper. The feature race went to Gordon Elliott as Walkabout captured the Burleigh accountancy hurdle for the second year in a row.
Tuesday, we start at Thirsk Graham Lee was on target as Miss Goldsmith took the seven furlong handicap. Donald McCain combined with daughter Ella McCain to win the amateur handicap with Dark Confidant. At Ffos Las the ground got very heavy and winning distances were exaggerated as a consequence. Sternrubin is a horse I think everyone admires. Sternrubin gets out in front makes the running and says catch me if you can. These tactics were seen to best possible effect as Sternrubin made all the running to win by 9 lengths in the one mile six furlong handicap. Sternrubin was advised to our members 1pt each way at 9/2 (rule 4 deduction = 10%). At Chelmsford, there was some really excellent prize money. Doctor Sardonicus made all the running in the £50 K five furlong sprint. Doctor Sardonicus got the better of a determined El Astronaute in a race were few got into it. El Astronaute was advised to our members 1pt each way at 8/1. It was a good day for our members as they also had. Sternrubin 445 Ffos Las (9/2)) & El Astronaute 740 Chelmsford (8/1) advised to our members 0.5pt each way double both placed.
At Nottingham, there was a double for Adam Kirby on board Perfect Clarity and Melinoe. Almanzor made his long awaited return to action in the Prix Gontaut-Biron Hong Kong Jockey Club at Deauville. It did not go to plan as French stars Brametot and Almanzor were upstaged by British challengers Eminent and First Sitting in the two feature events at Deauville.
Wednesday, we start at Salisbury there was a double for Ryan Moore on board Rogue and Surrey Hope. At Newton Abbott,there was a double for Richard Johnson on board The Geegez Geegee and Rosie Lea. The winning run of Alcala continued for Paul Nicholls as he won by forty lengths at an eye watering SP of 1/25. The Newton Abbott specialist Tamarillo Grove got it done again winning from Kublai and Bulletproof filling out the places. Bulletproof was advised to our members 1pt each way at 7/1. At Beverley, there was a double for Richard Fahey with Equitant and Liquid Gold. At Bangor, Donald McCain had a double with Dark Sunset and Prince Khurram. At Kempton, there was a treble for James Doyle on board Elizabeth Bennett, Mudallel and Mazyoun. At Gowran, Quizical made up for a narrow defeat at Galway when taking the seven furlong maiden. There was a double on the card for Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning with Solar Wave and Panstarr. The listed Hurry Harriet stakes went to Alluringly for Aidan O'Brien.
Thursday, we start at Fontwell. There was a treble on the day for Noel Fehily on board Gingili,Code of Law and Magical Thomas. At Salisbury, the Group 3 Sovereign Stakes was the feature race. Ballet Concerto demonstrated his battling qualities as he gained a hard-fought success in the totepool Sovereign Stakes. I actually think if Ballet Concerto got a clearer run he would have won easier. Ballet Concerto was advised to our members 1pt each way at 11/2 (rule 4 deduction = 35%). At Leopardstown, the Group 3 went to Alexios Komnenos who held off Music Box and Custom Cut who gave it a right go from the front. Custom Cut was advised to our members 1pt each way at 12/1. The Dermot Weld resurgence continued as he had a double on the card at Leopardstown. The horses were Bella Estrella and Chiara Luna who was really well backed (11/4 into odds on). At Tramore , it was day one of a three day festival. There was a double for Davy Russell and Gordon Elliott with Swingbridge and Fridaynightlights. The feature race went to St Lawrence Gap who saw off My Direction and The Last Marju in ready fashion. The Last Marju was advised to our members 1pt each way at 12/1 placed in the 650. It completed a good day for our members .Ballet Concerto 420 Salis 11/2 (rule 4 35%) , The Last Marju 650 Tram 12/1 & Custom Cut 710 Leop 12/1was advised to our members for a 0.25pt E/W Trixie all placed.
At Beverley, there was a double for Kevin Ryan and Tom Eaves with Elnadim Star and Gold Stone. At Yarmouth , there was another winner for Silvestre De Sousa on board Hope Is High. At Chepstow, the feature race was the two mile handicap. It featured the smart hurdler Project Bluebook. The race itself saw Project Bluebook eventually fought his way to the front, however just when he looked likely to win. Taws ran down Project Bluebook in the shadow of the post. Taws was well backed (6/1 into 10/3)
Friday, we start at Wolverhampton. There was a double for Martin Harley with Midnightly and Magic Moments. At Nottingham, there was a double for Jim Crowley with Thaferra and Eqtidaar. At Newbury, there was a treble for Frankie Dettori with The Mums, Great Sound and Qaroun. There was a double for Pat Shanahan and Rowan Scott with Set In Stone and Fivehundremiles. At Newmarket, there was a double for Harry Bentley on board Zymyran and Roaring Lion. At Catterick, the one mile four furlong maiden went in great style by an eye watering 19 lengths to State Sovereignty. At Dundalk, there was a double for Oisin Orr with Wild Shot and Freescape. At Tramore, there was a double for Gordon Elliott with Potters Point who deserved to get his head in front. This horse could make into a decent horse for handicaps in the autumn. The second leg of the double for Elliott went to Canny Tom who was also not winning out of turn.
Saturday, we start at Newbury. The Geoffrey Freer saw Defoe continue his climb to a St Leger bid at Doncaster. Defoe got the job done by three parts of a length from Wall Of Fire with Frontiersman back in third. Defoe was advised to our members 3pts win at 7/4. The Group 2 Hungerford Stakes the feature race went to Massaat who was back on the winning trail after an aborted stud career. Librisa Breeze once again met trouble in running , however I have no doubt Massaat won on merit. Librisa Breeze will probably win a race at one point soon but he is really putting his supporters through the mill. At Doncaster, the feature race went to Bertiewhittle for Rowan Scott and David Barron holding Qeyaadah by a neck. At Perth , there was a treble for the resurgent Donald McCain. The horses were Dear Sire, Valleyofmilan and Secret Escape. It is good to see McCain back and he could be a trainer to follow through the winter.At Ripon, the big race was the great St Wilfred which went to Mattmu for David Allan and Tim Easterby who held off Pipers Note. There was also a treble on the card at Ripon for Mark Johnston and Franny Norton the horses were Austrian School, Katebird and Lake Volta.
At Newmarket,the feature race the one mile furlong handicap went to Danehill Kodiac for Richard Hannon.At Market Rasen, Mizen Master was on target for Olly Murphy. At Bath, the good form of Megan Nicholls continued as the lady riders race went to Canberra Cliffs. At the Curragh, Order Of St George took the Irish St Leger trial for the third year in a row. There was a double on the card for Chris Hayes on board My Silver Nails and Would You Believe. At Tramore, the recovery for Dermot Weld continued as Turnabout win the one mile furlong by seven lengths.There was a double for Gordon Elliott as High Expectations and Water Sprite who was making up for an unlucky defeat at Galway. Water Sprite was advised to our members 1pt each way at 9/2 , completing a good day for our members.
Sunday, we start at the Curragh. There was a double for Colin Keane with Gobi Desert and Treasuring. There was also a double for Aidan O’Brien with a brace of Group two victories provided by Rostropovich and Magical. There was another horse who made up for an unlucky Galway defeat as Detailed bolted up in the fillies handicap. Detailed was advised to our members 1pt each way at 9/2 .At Tramore , there was a double for Willie Mullins with Hey Little Boy and Irish Lass. At Southwell, over the jumps there was a double for Dan and Harry Skelton with Azzuri and Premier Rose.The feature race a two and a half mile handicap chase went to Harry Fry and Noel Fehily with Art Of Payroll who saw of Hammersly Lake by a half length. Hammersly Lake was advised to our members 1pt each way at 7/1. At Pontefract, there was a double for Silvestre De Sousa on board Viscount Loftus and Wordiness.
