Alfirak Retires from Racing

The Galaxy Horse Racing Syndicate would like to announce with regret that our syndicate horse Alfirak has been retired from racing. It's a sad day for all of us, however, it's the best decision for Alfirak. We would like to thank Damian English, Craig English and all the team at Grougha stables for the care and attention Alfirak received throughout his racing career for ourselves. We would like to thank the staff at Lisadell Equine hospital especially Simon Hennessy who has treated Alfirak most regularly. We would also like to thank the staff of Fethard Equine Hospital who treated Alfirak most recently.

The positive news is we have found a forever home for Alfirak which will allow him to have an active and happy retirement. Alfirak after a summer's grass will start his new life. The Galaxy Horse Racing Syndicate will continue to be a presence in Alfirak's life. We will chart and update Alfirak's story in his retirement as a racehorse across our social media platforms. There will be a tribute article to Alfirak and his career for us on the website later on this week.

Go well Alfie and Thank you from all of us.

The Galaxy Horse Racing Syndicate.
