Welcome to the first of our monthly feature Notebook horses
The aim of this feature is to highlight horses who can win races over the coming months
Anatol made into my notebook at Ascot on 31-10-15.I was very impressed with his jumping .The race was over 2 miles 2 furlongs Anatol attacked his fences he got a bit tired which he was entitled to following a lay off which was 23 months.I think there is a nice handicap in this horse
Recommendation back on next 3 starts on trips from 2 miles to 2 miles 4 furlongs
Blow the doors off had a comeback run at Punchestown on 15-11-15 he understandably had a sympathetic ride after 18 months off the track, Blow the doors off was beaten 14 lengths into 9th place of 12 horses. I thought he ran very well for a long way before getting tired and fading out of it,a quick look through his novice form confirms he is potentially a decent handicapper. Blow the doors off is the type of horses his connections excel with. I would not be one bit surprised to see him drop back in trip as his comeback run was the furthest he has been asked to race to date. Blow the doors off may also run in beginners chases but this does not alter my view he is a well handicapped horse over hurdles.
Recommendation back on next 4 starts take note if he runs over the Christmas period.
Gevrey Chambertin has been around the block for a while he has a lot of ability. I thought his run at Cheltenham on 14-11-15 was pretty good he stayed on well at a track he has never really liked. Gevrey Chambertin is at his best on flat left handed tracks ,I expect him to be winning before Christmas
Recommendation back in November and December only pay special attention if he lines up at Aintree, Newbury or Haydock on testing ground.
Movie Legend traveled like a very nice horse on horrible holding ground at Uttoxeter on 14-11-15 he faded out of it to be beaten by just under 4 lengths. There is a race in this horse his jumping was decent as well.
Recommendation back on next two starts in maiden hurdles over 2 miles
Rigadin De Beauchene ran a nice race for a long way at Cheltenham on 14-11-15 over 3 miles 3 furlongs , Rigadin De Beauchene built up a commanding lead before fading out of it I liked the way he went about his job. I reckon he could play a big part in a handicap in excess of 3 miles if allowed his own way in front.
Recommendation back on next three starts in chases with distances further then 3 miles.
I hope you found this useful now remember put them in your horse tracker!
